Well I definately learned my lesson as to watching the colour of the ships might rating this past weekend. I the made the mistake of engaging a very
blue ship, and paid the consequences. those of you who don't know it yet there is a "Black Ship" with all the powers of Hell in its wake

The Demon Chicken or El Pollo Diablo. is mercilous
I and my crew paid the ultimate price and were handed our heads. you get a msg saying.
"Dark clouds gather as ye bear down upon yer hapless victims, and from the miasma emerges the Black Ship to take the place of yer target in battle! Arrrrgh! Ye be doomed fer sure!"
"Woe be the crew that spends too much time ganging up on vessels with fewer pirates. There be a legend that a Black Ship sails these waters, evening the score for those that've been wronged."
The ship is piloted by 159 skellies, goes through obstacles, and knows the opponent's every move. It gets 4 moves per turn, unlike ships similar to it in size. It is also immune to cannonballs and grappling. Basically, it is almost impossible to win against it.
After the black ship wins, it takes everything on the other ship except for 5 units of rum. This acts as a minor PoE and commodity sink to the economy.
I post this as a warning to all ye who have no mercy on those weaker, ye get what ye sow.
